So in theater the other day, me and my friends were talking about our celeb crushes, and some of the ones I mentioned were:

I was showing my friends a picture of Karen and talking about how amazing and beautiful she is, and a girl who sometimes comes to my youth group walked up to me and said, “Wait you like girls… So your bi? But I thought you were a Christian?” I looked her dead in the face and said “Yeah I don’t label my sexuality to appease society or those in it. I’m not gay, or straight or bisexual. I love people, I don’t care what you look like, all that matters is your heart. I believe that if I am a good person and I live by good morals, God will accept me. If he is our Father and he created me just the way I am, why would it matter who I love?”
Her retort was “Homosexuality is a sin and duh your bi if you like girls and guys. It means you like both genders.” I just looked at her and said, “Well you don’t need to worry about my homosexuality then because you aren’t my type.” and turned around and kept talking to my friends. The girl got really quiet and didn’t say anything else to me the rest of the class period.
Don’t let intolerant assholes ruin your life or even your day. You are amazing no matter who you love!
